What is In-Office Teeth Whitening?
At Sebastian Dental, we use Colgate Optic White in-office teeth whitening because it offers a variety of benefits and is a hassle-free procedure for our on-the-go patients. After conducting an oral examination and determining you’re a good candidate for the treatment, we’ll record the shade of your teeth. To protect your oral tissues from coming into direct contact with the whitening solution, we’ll place a barrier around your teeth. We’ll also place eyewear on you to protect you from the light used to cure and activate the whitening gel.
The process takes place in multiple 10-minute treatment increments until we reach your desired shade of brightness. After applying the whitening gel and curing light, we’ll wipe off the product on your teeth and reapply it. Typically, the process takes about three applications to complete. Finally, we’ll remove the protective barrier, determine the final shade of your teeth, and send you home with a touch-up kit to help maintain the results.
