Considering a new dental practice for you and your family is a big deal. You want to pick the right one that will be a good fit, and you can have many questions. Well, we’ve answered some of the most popular questions for you right here. Take a few minutes to review our responses, and if you still have questions that aren’t addressed here, we invite you to give us a call. We’ll be glad to help however we can.
How often should I see the dentist?
At Sebastian Dental, we recommend coming into our office at least twice every year for a dental checkup and cleaning. Plaque can accumulate in difficult-to-reach places and harden in a short period of time, and these regular visits prevent problems from progressing very far or even from developing in the first place.
How can you help with snoring/sleep apnea?
Although traditional treatment includes the use of a CPAP machine, we prefer to use a more conservative method. We can create a custom oral appliance that helps to keep your airway open and clear of any blockages. As a result, you are able to achieve deeper, more restful sleep, giving you more energy during the day. Interested in learning more about these oral appliances? Contact us for an appointment.
Are bleeding gums really something to be worried about?
Bleeding gums are a common sign of the first stage of gum disease. If left untreated, gum disease can lead to gum recession and even tooth loss. Also, studies have shown that the bacteria that cause inflammation in the gums can do the same elsewhere in the body, contributing to medical conditions like heart disease, Alzheimer’s, and more. That’s why it’s so important to catch and treat gum disease as early as possible!
Do you place dental implants?
Yes, we do! Our dentists have advanced post-graduate training and clinical experience that enable them to handle the placement and restoration of dental implants right here in our office. With us, you won’t have to worry about being referred to another dental practice at any point in the process. Our team can walk you through every step and ensure treatment success.
Can you help with full-mouth reconstruction?
Absolutely! The dentists at Sebastian Dental have extensive training full-mouth reconstruction. No matter what your smile has been through in the past, we can provide the necessary rehabilitation to give you a confident, strong smile once again.
Are you in-network with my dental insurance?
We are proud to be in-network with many, many dental insurances, including Humana, United Healthcare, Metlife, and more. This allows more patients to save significantly on their dental care. But to find out about your specific plan, give our team a call.
