Save on Dental Care Costs!
You probably already know that using your dental insurance can help you avoid paying full price on your dental care costs, but are you using it to its fullest potential? At Sebastian Dental, our team has been working with many insurance companies and plans for many years, and we know how to make sure our patients get the most value from their benefits. Do you have questions about your dental insurance? Contact our team, and we’ll be happy to explain your coverage in more detail.
What Makes Dental Insurance Unique
Have you ever wondered why your medical and dental insurances are separate? Well, while your medical insurance covers only a little diagnostic and preventive care, it predominantly focuses on treating problems as they pop up. In contrast, preventive care is the primary priority of your dental insurance, because oral issues do not eventually get better with time—only worse and more expensive to treat. That’s why your insurance companies encourage early intervention and prevention in the benefits they offer.
Your Dental Insurance Plan Coverage
Because every dental plan is slightly different, it is difficult to pinpoint coverage that is universal; however, most plans will have coverage similar to the following:
- Preventive services (e.g., cleanings and checkups) 80 to 100 percent covered.
- Minor restorative services (e.g., tooth-colored fillings) 70 to 80 percent covered.
- Major restorative services (e.g., dental crowns) 50 percent covered.
Some insurances also cover part of the cost of Invisalign. If you aren’t sure about your specific plan’s coverage, just ask our team, and we’ll happily help.
In-Network Savings & Out-of-Network Providers
At Sebastian Dental, we want to make our unparalleled services accessible to as many families as possible, which is why we are in-network with so many insurance plans. Why is that important? Using an in-network dental office allows you to save money and possibly even avoid out-of-pocket costs altogether.
We are proud to be in-network with the following plans:
- Florida Blue
- United Healthcare
- Delta Dental
- Blue Cross Blue Shield
Even if we are not in your insurance’s network, we can file claims for you and give you ideas for saving money on your dental care.
